The Colorado Photographic Arts Centeris seeking an intern to assist exclusively with the implementation of the Month of Photography (MoP) Denver Festival in March 2027.

The festival will include 100+ exhibitions and events at more than 75 spaces throughout the Denver Metro region and beyond. It will engage at least 20,000 people and create exhibition opportunities for more than 500 local, national, and international photographers. It will also include two days of portfolio reviews, a public portfolio walk, artist talks, tours, and more. Most of the planning for the 2027 festival will occur in 2026.

CPAC seeks a hard-working, flexible, reliable intern considering a career in the arts, arts education, PR & Marketing, and/or the nonprofit sector. This internship is ideal for someone looking to gain hands‑on experience, build relationships with experienced professionals, and receive a behind-the-scenes look at MoP 2027 programming, planning, and promotion.

Internships are open to:
  • Undergraduate and graduate college students
  • Artists from a variety of backgrounds or mediums
  • Individuals interested in the arts and or nonprofit field

You must be at least 18 years or older & have graduated from high school to apply.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Administrative support specifically related to programming and planning of MoP 2027
  • Assist with preparation and delivery of MoP portfolio reviews and portfolio walkthrough,
    must be available for March 12 & 13, 2026, non-negotiable
  • Assist with the maintenance of the MoP website through Word Press
  • Assist with organization of certain events, and attend when possible (these can include artist talks, tours, exhibition openings, workshops, community meetings)
  • Help building surveys through Jotform to track information and metrics for grant opportunities
  • Data entry and research collection
  • Help with managing general MoP info@ email
Compensation

Receive a stipend of $700 upon completion of required commitment—120 hours

Schedule

October 2026 to April 2027

1-2 days a week in 2026, 2-3 days a week in 2027

(week is defined as Tuesday – Saturday)

Internship Requirements
  • Onsite participation, remote work unavailable
  • 120 hours of work to receive full credit and stipend
  • Need to be comfortable with reaching out to participating venues and artists, superior customer service
  • Detailed oriented and highly organized
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs is required for all internship positions
  • Experience with Word Press desired
  • Knowledge of photography, Adobe Creative Cloud, and graphic skills are a plus!
