Food Corps is a national nonprofit advancing child well-being through food in school. Food Corps partners with students, families, and communities to champion nourishing food at local, state, and national levels. Our Ameri Corps members support schools in providing nutritious meals, locally-informed food education, and welcoming school environments that set kids up for positive, vibrant relationships with food. Building on this program, we develop leaders, grow networks, and advocate for policies in service of every kid’s health and well-being.

Food Corps is working toward a world where, by 2030, all 50 million public school students have access to food education and nourishing meals in school. Learn more dcorps.org.

What We Do:

Too many children go through the school day without the nutritious food they need to do and feel their best. Food Corps sets students up for success by working with schools to provide nourishing meals, nutrition education, and community engagement through food. We get kids excited about eating fruits and veggies, support school nutrition staff in bringing locally grown and freshly prepared meals onto lunch trays, and work with families to create positive school food environments for all kids.

Food Corps’ proven programming reaches thousands of students each year, helping to support kids' health, academic progress, and connection to their community through food in school.

What We’re Looking For:

Food Corps seeks a Multimedia Production Manager to lead the creation of compelling creative assets –including video, photography, audio, and emerging digital formats –that showcase our mission and impact. You will bring our work to life by producing dynamic media that highlights our core programs, amplifying the stories of our school partnerships, leadership development, and policy advocacy. In this role, you will oversee end-to-end production and optimize content to resonate across diverse channels and audiences.

This position reports to the Director of Marketing and will work closely with the entire Marketing & Communications team. This is a full-time, remote position and will require regular travel (up to 30%).

Who You Are:

You are passionate about child nutrition, education, and food, and are eager to capture and share Food Corps’ story with a wide range of audiences across diverse platforms. You bring a strong foundation in video, photography, and audio production, with the technical ability to produce both quick social content and compelling long-form narratives. You are comfortable meeting new people, conducting authentic interviews, and building trusted relationships with school partners, program participants, and external contractors.

You have a sharp creative vision and know how to craft ethical, asset-based stories that align with brand standards and motivate audiences to take action. Highly organized and detail-oriented, you excel at managing complex logistics, production schedules, and digital asset libraries, while seamlessly guiding multiple projects from concept to final delivery.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Multimedia Production & Content Creation (50%)
  • Identify and pitch compelling multimedia storytelling opportunities that support campaigns across Food Corps’ work, including school partnerships, leadership development programs, and policy advocacy
  • Direct, shoot, record, and edit high-quality video, photography, and audio projects – ranging from quick, vertical-first social media content to long-form narrative storytelling, from initial concept to final delivery
  • Tailor, package, and repurpose multimedia content to meet the technical and creative specs of social media, email campaigns, web, presentations, and other formats
  • Collaborate closely with the Mar Comms team to ensure all visual and audio assets align with Food Corps' brand standards, tone, and messaging
