Events Producer

The Producer takes a qualified client opportunity and turns it into a compelling, executable live-event solution that the client wants to buy.

You’ll work closely with the Sales and Creative teams to turn client needs and ideas into compelling, executable live-event solutions. Your primary focus will be understanding what the client wants to accomplish, asking the right questions, developing the event approach, bringing together the right internal expertise, and translating the solution into proposals, presentations, and budgets.

In this client-facing role, you will be a partner with the production team to ensure continuity between what was envisioned and what is delivered and participating onsite as appropriate. We’re looking for someone who understands live events, enjoys working with clients, and can help turn an opportunity into an experience, with an emphasis on client leadership and solution development rather than detailed day-to-day project management.

The Producer works across Precon to shape qualified opportunities into compelling, executable live-event solutions. Success in this role requires curiosity, creative thinking, and enough production fluency to connect a client’s goals with what Precon can bring to life. This role leads the thinking and collaboration that moves an opportunity from initial idea, then stays engaged with the production team to ensure what was envisioned is successfully delivered.

• Partner with Sales on client discovery conversations to understand objectives, audience, priorities, budget, brand, and desired outcomes.
• Ask thoughtful questions, identify opportunities, and help clients articulate needs they may not yet know how to define.
• Develop proposals, scopes, budgets, and presentations.
• Respond thoughtfully to client feedback, questions, and budget considerations.

• Translate client objectives and early ideas into compelling live-event concepts and solutions.
• Serve as the connective voice across client, creative, technical, and production teams.
• Help shape how staging, scenic, content, technology, branding, and the physical environment work together to create the desired audience experience.

• Partner with Project Manager, Technical Director, Creative team, and other internal resources.
• Work with team to key milestones to ensure continuity between what was sold and what is delivered.
• Participate onsite as appropriate, maintaining client relationships and helping solve creative, production, or experience-related challenges in real time.
• Support post-event client conversations and identify opportunities to strengthen or expand the relationship.

This is a remote position based in the Washington, DC metropolitan area, with regular in-person client meetings, site visits, and event production responsibilities. Local travel throughout the DC region and national travel are required for site visits, installations, rehearsals, and live-event execution. Flexibility to work outside standard business hours, including occasional evenings and weekends, is required based on event schedules.

The anticipated salary range for this position is $100,000–$145,000 annually, commensurate with experience, qualifications, and fit with Precon’s needs.
