This is a remote contractor role with output-based compensation, and task requirements may vary by assignment.

• Analyze and synthesize complex source materials to identify and explain key findings.
• Verify sources and fact-check claims so that articles remain accurate, credible, and grounded in evidence.
• Write non-opinion articles using professional narrative formats, including the lead and inverted pyramid.
• Prepare concise summaries or full-length articles from provided document sets.
• Participate in editorial reviews and incorporate feedback on clarity, structure, and factual consistency.
• Record research methods and citation trails to support transparency and future reference.
• Communicate findings clearly in written and verbal formats while collaborating with project stakeholders.

• At least four years of reporting or correspondent experience at a recognized media outlet.
• Expertise in a document-heavy beat such as investigative journalism, business reporting, or science reporting.
• A demonstrated ability to synthesize large volumes of material into engaging, structured narratives.
• Strong source validation, fact-checking, and verifiable reporting skills, with a non-opinion approach.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, including the ability to explain complex topics clearly.
• Familiarity with journalistic transparency, citation practices, and public records.

Experience collaborating remotely with editorial or project teams is helpful. The work suits professionals who are comfortable moving from extensive source documents to concise, context-rich reporting while preserving factual consistency.
