Inbound, Claims Call Center Representative

Zurich is a leading multi‑line insurer that serves its customers in global and local markets. Zurich’s customers include individuals, small businesses, mid‑size and large companies, and multinational corporations. We are seeking confident, outgoing, and self‑motivated Customer Care Professionals to join our dedicated Claims Call Center team starting February 2026. This role offers an in‑depth, 6‑week training that covers everything you’ll need to get started.

Note: All candidates hired must live within the Schaumburg, IL metropolitan area – training will take place in‑person at our Schaumburg office. After training, the role will be remote within the United States.

Day to Day Responsibilities
  • Process clients’ first notice of loss claim reports received through Zurich’s phone & non‑phone reporting options in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Resolve complex claims inquiries and problems, judging when to pass complex queries on to or involve others in order to provide an effective service and clear advice to colleagues and customers.
  • Liaise with internal and external clients to exchange information, clarify facts, and resolve queries and/or problems efficiently.
  • Provide feedback and recommendations to the team to improve the quality of customer care.
  • Follow procedures to ensure adherence to the company’s risk and compliance policies.

Basic Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 6 months of customer service experience.
  • Data entry experience.
Work From Home Office Requirements
  • Designated workspace free from noise and other distractions.
  • Minimum internet connection: stable, high‑speed internet of at least 5 Mbps up and 10 Mbps down.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 6 months of call center experience.
  • Strong data entry skills with a typing speed of 32 WPM or more.
  • Proficiency in Windows‑based operating systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to navigate multiple computer screens and browsers quickly and accurately.
  • Strong comprehension skills and professional demeanor.
  • Solid oral & written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated strong attention to detail and solid problem‑solving skills.
  • Insurance knowledge preferred.

Your pay at Zurich is based on your role, location, skills, and experience. We follow local laws to ensure fair compensation. You may also be eligible for bonuses and merit increases. If your expectations are above the listed range, we still encourage you to apply—your unique background matters to us. The proposed hourly rate for this position is $21.21 / hr, with short‑term incentive bonus eligibility set at 5%.
