We are seeking a friendly, motivated, and detail-oriented Remote Customer Service Representative to join our team. In this role, you will play an essential part in assisting patients with their medical bills by offering excellent service and working in a supportive and fast-paced environment.
As a Remote Customer Service Representative, you will primarily engage with patients over the phone to discuss payment options, set up payment arrangements, and ensure account receivables are collected in a timely and compassionate manner. This position requires a positive attitude, strong communication skills, and the ability to adapt to a virtual work environment.
- Provide outstanding service to patients while representing the interests of the client.
- Initiate and maintain contact with patients via phone to assist with payment for medical bills.
- Communicate clearly and professionally, ensuring patients fully understand their account information and payment options.
- Review patient accounts and carefully document all interactions and feedback.
- Work with patients to negotiate reasonable payment plans based on their circumstances.
- Set up patient payments through check, electronic transfer, or credit card.
- Adhere to all policies and procedures to ensure consistent quality and compliance.
- Achieve or exceed established performance goals.
- Collaborate with team leads, management, and clients to resolve issues and provide a positive patient experience.
- Perform any other tasks as assigned by management.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to provide clear, accurate, and friendly service.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to document interactions thoroughly.
- High level of integrity and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality.
- A collaborative mindset with a team-oriented approach.
- Comfortable working with basic computer systems and technology.
- Previous customer service experience is a plus.
- Experience in medical billing or healthcare revenue cycles is highly desirable.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- One to two years of college education is preferred.
