Overview

This position will either be filled as Order Entry Specialist I or Order Entry Specialist II, depending on the candidate’s skills and experience. The corresponding salary ranges are as follows:

Order Entry Specialist I: $32,000-$44,000
Order Entry Specialist II: $39,800-$48,500

This position is part-time, 30 hours per week with the following schedule:
Monday - Friday, 8am - 3pm

Eligibility for remote work: This position is required to work onsite at Human Kinetics’ headquarters in Champaign, IL.

Job Summary: The Order Entry Specialist position involves accurately entering customer orders and credits into the customer service processing software, as well as providing support to the Customer Service Team by performing other assigned tasks and providing backup coverage. This role requires strong data entry skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a team environment with minimal supervision.

As needed, they will work with external customers and internal staff.

Essential Functions:

  • Correctly and accurately use the customer service processing software and credit card payment center with minimal assistance.
  • Review customer order or return credit paperwork ensuring all required information is included before keying into customer service processing software.
  • Complete entry of customer order or credit into customer service processing software, as needed, credit card payment center.
  • Independently performing complex order and credit tasks.
  • Work as one in a team rotating daily customer service software processes, shared incoming order email folders, and reviewing website high-risk customer orders.
  • Ask questions, follow instructions and procedures to accurately complete assigned tasks.
  • As needed, communicate professionally with customers and internal staff via phone, email, and Web Help Desk ticket system to process orders and credits.
  • Follow established customer order and credit procedures while meeting departmental accuracy rates and completion times.
  • Utilize a strong knowledge of all Human Kinetics products including delineation of print and electronic product delivery, HK websites, and promotional campaign discount codes.
  • Complete varied individual and departmental tasks assigned on an ad hoc or regular basis.
  • Secondary Functions:

  • Follow departmental processes on how to handle printed order and credit customer service processing software copies along with filing processes for printed orders and credit paperwork.
  • Work cohesively and collaboratively with co-workers focusing on communication, problem-solving, and mutual support.
  • Adhere to established procedures, meet accuracy rates, and time frames for completion of tasks expected for the department.
  • Keep the Customer Service Director and CSR III updated on workload trends, asking for assistance when needed.
