Job Title: Retirement Customer Service Representative (100% Remote)
OverviewWe are hiring Customer Service Representatives to support a Retirement Services team. These roles are added headcount to assist with increased work volumes due to recent team turnover and were recommended by the workforce planning team. This is a 100% remote, customer-facing role supporting retirement-related inquiries from financial professionals and customers.
Key Responsibilities- Handle 25–50 inbound calls per day related to retirement products and services.
- Support financial partners, agents, and customers via phone.
- Respond to inquiries including:
- New business applications
- In-force policy transactions and questions
- Product information and rates
- Service-related issues and general account assistance
- Accurately document customer interactions using Salesforce and other internal systems.
- Navigate multiple systems simultaneously while maintaining a high level of customer service.
- Handle escalated calls (approximately 4 per day), some of which may involve:
- Retirement fund impacts
- Beneficiary-related questions
- Sensitive or complex financial concerns
- 1+ year of customer service experience in a retail, service industry, or similar customer‑facing role.
- 1+ year of basic computer experience, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Teams.
- Strong soft skills, including the ability to build rapport over the phone, empathy and active listening, and confidence handling difficult or escalated conversations.
- Reliable work‑from‑home internet:
Minimum 100 Mbps download / 20 Mbps upload; fiber, cable, or DSL required.
- Call center experience.
- Previous experience supporting life insurance, retirement, or benefits products.
- Financial services customer support experience.
- 100% remote position.
- All required equipment will be provided.
- 1st Shift
- Must be available for training and work during the first 6 months from 7:00 AM PT – 3:30 PM PT.
- After 6 months, opportunity to transition to a shift between 6:00 AM PT – 4:30 PM PT.
- Initial training on the basic line of business.
- After 90 days, additional training on expanded product lines and cross‑training on additional responsibilities.
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tucson, AZ.
Pay & BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 – $24.00/hr.
