Customer Service Representative - Seasonal (100% Remote, EST Hours)

Contract | April-July | Remote (U.S. only, excluding CA)

Are you an experienced customer service professional who excels in a fast‑paced, metrics‑driven environment? Join a nationwide organization that manages high‑priority communications and voting activities for publicly traded companies during their annual meeting season.

This is a seasonal remote role supporting a campaign.

About the Role

As a Customer Service Representative, you will help guide the caller through various processes. You'll handle both inbound calls (AM shift) and outbound calls (PM overflow opportunities) while providing a polished, professional customer experience.

This project typically runs April through July, with the potential to be invited back for future campaigns based on performance.

What You'll Do

+ Assist with questions about voting instructions and ballot items

+ Help customers via phone, online, or mail

+ Conduct outbound calls

+ Follow provided scripts verbatim

+ Navigate multiple systems using dual monitors while speaking and taking notes

+ Manage calls from customers who may be frustrated or confused, maintaining professionalism at all times

+ Support deadlines tied to meetings

Qualifications

Required:

+ 1+ year of call center or contact center customer service experience

+ 6+ months of outbound calling experience within the last 24 months

+ Ability to persuade customers to complete a required action (not sales-related)

+ Strong verbal communication and a clear, professional speaking voice

+ Ability to follow scripts word‑for‑word

+ Ability to multitask effectively (talk, listen, take notes, toggle systems)

+ Experience handling high‑stress situations or de-escalating upset callers

+ Comfortable learning quickly and adapting to a fast-paced environment

+ Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Teams)

+

Experience with cloud-based phone systems (preferred but not required)

Schedule & Work Environment

+

AM Shift: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-5:00 PM EST

+ Approximately 37.5 hours per week

+ Optional opportunities to extend hours into the PM shift or Saturdays

+ Must work EST hours, regardless of home state

+ Fully remote within the U.S. (except CA)

+ High standards of professionalism, grammar, and communication required

Equipment Requirements

Provided:

+ Company laptop

Candidate must have:

+ USB headset

+ Second monitor

+ Ability to hard‑wire into home internet if required

+ Minimum internet speed: 100 Mbps download / 10 Mbps upload () - will be perform during teams call

+ A physical residential shipping address (no PO boxes)

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
