Introduction
The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR), Division of External Services is currently recruiting to fill two (2) Customer Service Representative vacancies headquartered in Madison and Eau Claire, WI.
Madison, WI – The position will work non‑traditional hours including nights and weekends, most likely consisting of four (4) 10‑hour shifts from 11:30am–10:00pm depending on business needs at the time of hire. The role is eligible for remote work up to 50% of the time after completion of training and six (6) months of demonstrated proficiency in the role.
Eau Claire, WI – The position schedule consists of five (5) 8‑hour shifts, 8:00am–4:30pm, Monday–Friday. This role works in the office five (5) days per week and is not eligible for remote work.

These positions serve as the Department's primary point of contact for the majority of service requests and information inquiries made by members of the public, agency partners, stakeholders, and staff. This is accomplished through face‑to‑face, phone, email and online interactions.
They assist customers with questions, products and services related to hunting, fishing, trapping, and other natural resources related activities. They are responsible for providing information and assistance with the registration and titling of recreational vehicles regulated by the Department. The work involves the interpretation and application of state statutes, administrative rules, and department policies and procedures pertaining to recreational licensing and vehicle registration and titling.
The position focuses on the customers’ experiences, anticipates the customers’ needs, and excels at surpassing customers’ expectations, often using collaborative methods for service delivery.
Madison, WI – Requires access to Criminal Justice Information Systems (CJIS) and/or unescorted access to CJIS‑secured physical spaces and therefore must comply with the Transaction Information for the Management of Enforcement (TIME) System Security Policy, including undergoing a fingerprint background check prior to employment.

Salary InformationEntry level: $22.31 per hour ($46,404 annually) in pay schedule/range 02–11.
Senior level: $26.08 per hour ($54,246 annually) in pay schedule/range 02–13.
