Overview

Valencia College is now hiring a full‑time Specialist, Enrollment Services to join the Enrollment Services team on the West campus. The position focuses on responding to inquiries by phone or electronically and assisting current and prospective students with enrollment steps, resolving issues, and ensuring high levels of customer service.

Responsibilities
  • Receive multi‑channel inquiries (phone, email, chat, SMS) and use a developmental approach to help students complete enrollment steps.
  • Assist students in determining application, enrollment, and financial‑aid status, and resolve early‑stage problems.
  • Create work tickets for deeper issues and refer cases to appropriate departments.
  • Orient students to online tools and the features of Atlas.
  • Answer questions about Valencia’s services, hours, and materials for students, faculty, and the community.
  • Provide information about degree and certificate options and entrance requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of interactions, discussions, and resolutions.
  • Conduct outbound campaigns to support recruitment, retention, and a diverse student body.
  • Use computer software to input and retrieve data, access reference materials, and communicate effectively with staff and students.
  • Review college and marketing websites for issues or improvements; maintain content on international social media pages.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High‑school diploma or GED required.
  • Associate’s degree from a regionally accredited institution preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively via multiple channels (face‑to‑face, phone, email, text, chat).
  • Proficient with personal computer and general office software (MS Office, Outlook).
  • Superior customer‑service skills, ability to handle complaints with tact and diplomacy.
  • Capacity to coordinate multiple projects and tasks in a fast‑paced, changing environment.
  • Critical‑thinking ability to assess student questions and resolve enrollment problems early.
  • Judgment, discretion, and confidentiality.

Additional Information
  • Primarily remote work with in‑office attendance required once per week.
