Overview
This remote role is limited to candidates residing in SC and willing to be within a drivable distance to our Columbia, SC office. First Citizens Bank is hiring Customer Service Representatives for our inbound Customer Engagement Center. Training will be conducted remotely and onsite; after training, candidates may work remotely but that may be adjusted at any time based on business-related or performance-based reasons.
Candidates must be willing to commute to our office on the first day and for other business initiatives as needed.
Bilingual skills (Spanish) are a plus. The Bank conducts fingerprinting, background checks, and other screening as required by law. Hours of operation are Monday‑Friday 8 am‑9 pm EST and Saturday & Sunday 8 am‑8 pm EST, with various full‑time schedules available.
Responsibilities- Client Service – Answer inbound client calls and chats across multiple banks and states, addressing routine balance and transaction questions as well as more complex issues that require additional research, using available bank tools and resources.
- Business Proficiency – Serve as a resource on operations, policy, and procedure information for associates and clients, maintaining current knowledge of retail, commercial, bankcard, and online banking calls and communicating enterprise‑wide changes and impacts.
- Crime Mitigation – Act as the initial point of contact for reported fraud and forgery, documenting the activity, opening, closing, or placing holds on accounts, and escalating as appropriate.
- Sales Support – Identify cross‑sales opportunities through client profiles and account detail information, promote bank products to clients, and refer to sales teams when possible.
- High school diploma or GED with 1 year call center or customer service experience.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Working knowledge of PC‑based software.
- Ability to simultaneously.
- Strong keyboard skills.
- Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment.
- Ability to display professionalism while interacting with others.
Preferred Qualifications
- Call center experience.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Financial Services experience.
- Bilingual (Spanish).
