Avocet Hospitality is pleased to offer Reservations Agents the option to work remotely. The agent's supervisor will determine eligibility after completing in‑office training in Charleston, SC, and demonstrating the required skills to work independently. To have the option to work remotely, agents must agree to and follow the remote work policies.
Position SummaryResponsible for handling reservation inquiries, modifications, and cancellations for multiple properties in an attentive, courteous, and efficient manner. Quote available rates and upsell room types to maximize revenue. Ensure a consistent focus on providing an exceptional experience to every guest while maximizing profitability at the same time. Must possess strong quality control skills, task management, and communication with internal and external clients.

- Gather information from guests and accurately input reservations into the property management system, including detailed information about any special requests or occasions.
- Ensure timely response to emails and voicemails from guests.
- Handle special reservations such as VIPs, group attendees and corporate guests.
- Audit the system for reservation accuracy.
- Post‑cancellation fees and deposits.
- Maintain professional working relationships and promote open lines of communication with managers, employees, and other departments. Attend all required meetings and training.

Job RequirementsEducation: High school diploma or GED preferred.
Experience: Prior related hospitality experience preferred.
Skills- Ability to communicate fluently in English with hotel guests and employees.
- Ability to provide friendly, efficient and courteous service to guests.
- Ability to work under pressure, be organized, self‑motivated and work well with others.
- Strong positive attitude and ability to initiate light conversation with guests.
- Knowledge of hotel property and operating hours of each guest service area.
- Thorough knowledge of Charleston and surrounding areas.
- Ability to complete work in a timely, accurate and thorough manner.
- Ability to work effectively and relate well with senior management, colleagues, and individuals inside and outside the hotel.
- Customer focus and drive to deliver optimal employee and customer satisfaction.
- Must have the ability to multi‑task and perform well under stressful circumstances.
- Additional foreign language skills are a plus.
