Key Responsibilities
  • Answer incoming calls and log into assigned phone queues daily
  • Provide eligibility and claim information to medical providers and members
  • Review and interpret plan certificates to determine covered benefits and exclusions
  • Investigate claim payment issues and research PPO databases
  • Document call details in claim systems and monitor voicemail
  • Respond to provider/member status requests professionally
  • Initiate check inquiries to confirm claim payments
  • Educate providers and members on new technology for accessing plan information
  • Use probing skills to resolve customer concerns in a single call
  • Maintain minimum call standards per company policy and industry agreements
  • Complete special projects as requested by management
Candidate Requirements
  • Effective time management and ability to function independently
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
  • Strong problem-solving and issue resolution skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks with strong organisational and follow-up skills
  • Experience with claims and business software preferred
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-based environment
