- Answer incoming calls and log into assigned phone queues daily
- Provide eligibility and claim information to medical providers and members
- Review and interpret plan certificates to determine covered benefits and exclusions
- Investigate claim payment issues and research PPO databases
- Document call details in claim systems and monitor voicemail
- Respond to provider/member status requests professionally
- Initiate check inquiries to confirm claim payments
- Educate providers and members on new technology for accessing plan information
- Use probing skills to resolve customer concerns in a single call
- Maintain minimum call standards per company policy and industry agreements
- Complete special projects as requested by management
- Effective time management and ability to function independently
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
- Strong problem-solving and issue resolution skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks with strong organisational and follow-up skills
- Experience with claims and business software preferred
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-based environment
