Parking & Transit Technician - Seasonal

Join our team! The Town is currently seeking a Parking & Transit Technician for the 2026 summer season. This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy working outdoors, interacting with the public, and contributing to the day‑to‑day functionality of a busy recreational community.

This full‑time seasonal position runs from mid‑June to at least mid‑August and ideally until mid‑October, requiring some work on weekends, evenings and holidays.

• Work under supervision of the Parking & Transit Manager.
• Assist with daily parking operations including monitoring parking areas, responding to customer inquiries, and supporting compliance efforts.
• Provide friendly, clear information to residents and visitors regarding parking regulations, permits, transit routes, transit schedules, and special events affecting parking or transit operations.
• Support transit operations through passenger assistance, way finding, stop monitoring, and coordination with drivers and dispatch as needed.
• Assist with parking technology and equipment, including pay stations, signage, temporary devices, and handheld units.
• Collect field data related to parking occupancy, turnover, transit ridership, and special events.
• Assist with temporary traffic control, installing and removing cones, barricades, and signage during special events, construction, or peak periods.
• Respond to parking‑ and transit‑related service requests and relay issues to supervisor.
• Support parking enforcement staff as needed (non‑sworn; does not issue parking violations unless specifically directed).
• Maintain a professional, welcoming presence that reflects the Town’s customer service standards.
• Participate in daily and/or weekly job‑related staff briefings.
• Perform other related work duties as required or assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Minimum 18 years of age.

• Experience in customer service, parking, transit, tourism, or outdoor recreation.
• Familiarity with a recreational or resort community environment.
• Experience with data collection or use of handheld/mobile technology.

• Valid Driver’s License and satisfactory driving record.

The job requires outdoor work in varied weather conditions, standing, walking, and lifting objects up to 100 pounds. It involves early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, including the handling of traffic and temporary traffic control equipment.

Colorado PERA requirement:
This position must pay into Colorado Public Employee Retirement Association (PERA) on both the employer and employee end; 9% for employee and 15.8% for employer. The position is not otherwise benefit eligible.
