Job Summary

AWL is seeking Remote Call Center Representatives to join its Contact Center Team, connecting consumers looking for insurance products with licensed insurance agents in real time. This is a part-time, remote role based in Brownsville, TX, offering flexible schedules, advancement opportunities, and competitive pay starting at $14/hour.

No insurance license is required, as you will not be selling — instead, you’ll act as a concierge, helping consumers connect with agents and ensuring a positive experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Handle inbound and outbound calls with consumers seeking insurance rate comparisons
  • Ask qualifying questions to connect consumers with the right insurance agent
  • Complete follow-up calls to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Record information about consumer experiences accurately
  • Communicate frequently with leadership and team members via chat
  • Maintain professionalism and courtesy during escalated situations
Candidate Requirements
  • Must reside in Brownsville, TX or surrounding areas
  • Superior verbal communication skills; energetic and clear phone presence
  • Strong written communication skills (spelling, grammar, punctuation)
  • Competent computer literacy and ability to multi-task
  • Comfortable with high call volume (calls averaging 3 minutes, ~5 seconds apart)
  • Punctual, dependable, and receptive to coaching
  • Must maintain a quiet background (no background noise allowed on calls)
  • Technical setup required:
    • Personal computer with webcam (for first two days of training)
    • High-speed internet, ethernet cord, compatible headset, and mouse
    • AWL provides a laptop after training
