Overview
McKinstry is innovating the waste and climate impact out of the built environment and is building a thriving planet. We are expanding our Fire Protection division and are seeking a Service Coordinator to support our service team in Dallas, TX.
Responsibilities- Receive and process customer requests for inspection, maintenance, and service calls.
- Prioritize and schedule maintenance, service, and project work within given time periods.
- Schedule and manage a group of technicians across all work, including communication of work details, assurance of tools and material requirements, and project expectations.
- Communicate work status, ensuring achievement of client commitment and work success.
- Promote a comprehensive safety program across all work managed and with all technicians dispatched.
- Collaborate closely with the Service Manager regarding callbacks, technician problems, unsatisfied customers, etc.
- Maintain availability an hour before and after start and/or end times to assist the team during unscheduled peak times (flexible 7–5 schedule).
- Review current service processes and refine methods to improve efficiency and effectiveness for clients and McKinstry.
- Ensure the efficient and complete closeout of all work managed.
- Knowledge of fire sprinklers or fire alarm systems preferred.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize daily workload with strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong customer service and communication skills; effective at collaborating in a team‑oriented environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent work experience required.
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook required; working knowledge of SharePoint preferred.
