Denver Botanic Gardens is currently seeking a
** Seasonal Membership and Visitor Services Representative
** in our Membership and Visitor Services Department. This position provides a positive visitor experience through prompt, pleasant, and courteous service, processing transactions for items such as general admission, memberships, classes, events, and tours. The role also oversees lost and found and wheelchair and stroller checkout.

Position Summary

This position requires various forms of communication with the public, including phone, computer, and in‑person interactions.

General Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provides outstanding customer service to all staff, visitors, and Denver Botanic Gardens customers at both York Street and Chatfield Farms locations, including phone, in‑person, written, verbal, and electronic communication.
  • Proactively seeks to be knowledgeable of all Denver Botanic Gardens horticulture, exhibits, programs, and events.
  • Opens, closes, and reconciles daily ATMS shifts.
  • Creates bookings and processes sales for general admission, classes, tours, and events offered at Denver Botanic Gardens.
  • Handles all aspects of onsite and phone membership sales, including taking payment through ATMS, recording member data in Raiser's Edge, and printing member cards; assists members with redemption of complimentary tickets to York Street and Chatfield Farms events.
  • Runs daily attendance and member reports.
  • Assists members and non‑members with account management.
  • Oversees lost and found and wheelchair and stroller checkout at Information Desks in Boettcher Memorial Center and Freyer‑Newman Center.
  • Stocks and maintains brochures, rack cards, etc. at Information Desks.
  • Greets meeting/event guests and contacts appropriate staff.
  • Maintains regular admissions hours, and operates during special events, including evenings and weekends as necessary.
  • Acts as a positive role model.
  • Works with all departments to assure highest quality experience for all visitors within the York Street Visitor Center, Resource Center, Mordecai Children’s Garden, and throughout the Gardens, plus the Chatfield Farms ticket booth and entry areas.
  • Regular attendance may be required; remote work is at management’s discretion and requires good performance standing.

  • Accurately enters data, counts money, and balances a cash drawer in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment.
  • Reads, analyzes, and interprets general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Writes reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Effectively presents information and responds to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Calculates figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages.
  • Solves practical problems and deals with a variety of concrete variables when standardization is limited.
  • Interprets various instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
