Position Overview

This position is tasked with performing the daily operational practices of running the car wash facility and providing excellent customer service. It is responsible for implementing workflow procedures based on direction from the Site Manager and includes supervising employees during day-to-day tasks, providing customer support in escalated situations, and managing the overall workflow of the workplace.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Schedule and coordinate meetings.
  • Conduct employee performance reviews.
  • Develop good customer relationships.
  • Participate in recruitment and dismissal processes.
  • Smooth out problems within the workplace.
  • Address employee and customer concerns.
  • Develop strategies for better workplace efficiency and goal achievement.
  • Email and phone correspondence.
  • Liaise between managers, customers and employees.
  • Provide direction to staff.
  • Monitor spending patterns and budget.
  • Fill in for Site Manager (GM) in times of absence. Make executive decisions, hold meetings and provide accountability.
  • Organize shift schedules for team members.
  • Monitor attendance, tardiness and time off.
  • Assign duties to specific employees based on role and skills.
  • Supervise employees and assist with tasks as necessary.
  • Manage employees’ requests and transgressions.
  • Train new and current team members on tasks.
  • Handle customer issues and manage conflicts.
  • Adhere to company policies and health, safety and employment standards.
  • Balance cash drawers and prepare cash deposits.
  • Perform all other duties as requested.
Additional Tasks
  • Greet customers courteously and explain available wash services; take and process wash payments to customer satisfaction.
  • Perform cleaning of facility and ensure everything is kept in the appropriate place and organized (water hoses, nozzles, brushes, soap buckets, broom, hand tools, pressure washer, and grease gun).
  • Provide assistance to customers in any area concerning car wash process.
  • Move or direct cars into the express wash tunnel with a pleasant, focused, and competent attitude.
  • Guide customers to follow directional sign; maintain neutral, no-brake, no steering while watching the customer.
  • Smiles at customer and gives thumbs up after guest is in neutral with no brakes.
  • Carry out visual inspection of vehicles to confirm their condition before sending them into the wash area.
  • Ensure company policies and safety procedures are adhered to daily.
  • Ensure vacuums are unclogged, trash cans emptied, and hoses properly hung.
  • With a sense of urgency, ensure the right thing is done at the right time with customers, home office, and fellow teammates.

  • Ability to interact ethically with fellow employees and customers.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as interpersonal skills.
  • Strong ability to handle the physical demand of the job.
  • Ability to follow directions and correctly implement tasks.
  • Car wash locations can create wet hazardous conditions; safety precautions should be met for safety and compliance.
