Overview
Thrift Books is looking for a Full‑time Customer Support Representative based in Dallas, TX. The position offers a base rate of $15.00 per hour and a hybrid work arrangement that includes remote work and onsite presence.
What You’ll Do- Serve as the frontline representative of the Thrift Books brand.
- Engage with customers across phone, chat, and email support channels.
- Promptly provide product information, troubleshoot issues, recommend products, and resolve complaints.
- Document customer interactions and maintain accurate records in the CRM system.
- Follow up with customers to ensure their issues are resolved satisfactorily.
- Educate customers on the use of our website and books.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures for customer service.
- Maintain a high level of Customer Satisfaction and quality scores.
This is a hybrid, work‑from‑home and in‑person position, requiring 2‑3 days a week on site in Dallas, TX. Applicants must reside within a 45‑minute drive of the Bishop Arts District (75211). The company provides all necessary technical equipment; candidates must supply reliable, high‑speed internet with Ethernet connectivity.

Full‑time, rotating schedule that includes early morning, afternoon, evening, and weekend shifts. Availability is required for 24/7 contact center coverage. The role is hybrid, combining onsite and remote work. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must authorize a pre‑employment background check. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Active listening skills.
- 2+ years of call center experience.
- 2+ years of online customer service chat experience.
- Ability to multi‑task, set priorities, and manage time effectively.
- Excellent attendance record.
- Experience using current technologies and industry products.
- Physically able to work 8 hours a day at a computer, typing, answering emails, phone calls, and live chats.
- Enthusiasm for books and willingness to share that knowledge.
- Capability to set up and troubleshoot equipment independently.
- Strong ability to manage multiple screens and open windows while answering calls or chats and using Microsoft Teams.
- Ability to work autonomously in a goal‑paced, self‑motivated team environment.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Teams, and Outlook; proficient in various CRM systems.
- Positive, respectful attitude in independent and team settings.
