Customer Service Representative

Job Description

Auto-Owners Insurance, a top-rated insurance carrier, is seeking a motivated Customer Service Representative to join our team. We offer a merit-based work-from-home program that, after initial in-person training, allows up to three days of remote work per week. The role requires communicating and working with customers and associates at all levels.

• Assist with reviewing and answering basic inquiries from customers.
• Make computer inquiries and entries relating to customer accounts.
• Communicate with customers and others as needed to research problems and find solutions.
• Collect pertinent information from customers to handle inquiries in a timely and accurate manner.
• Prioritize and organize work to ensure it is completed in a timely manner.
• Document customer requests.
• Assist agents with basic tasks.
• Work with confidential and/or sensitive information, data, and matters in accordance with Company standards.
• Maintain punctual attendance according to an assigned work schedule at a Company approved work location.
• Assist with other duties as assigned within the department or elsewhere upon request.

• High School Diploma or its equivalent is required.
• Direct insurance agency/company experience is a plus.
• Must type a minimum of 40 words per minute with 85% accuracy.
• Flexibility for occasional and/or seasonal overtime.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to handle multiple assignments.
