Job Overview

This position is remote and can be located anywhere where posted. We are looking for a talented individual to join our team as a Bilingual Energy Efficiency Customer Support Specialist. This isn’t a typical call center job – we are an inbound contact center helping utility customers save money, make their homes more energy efficient, and improve our climate through change.

Responsibilities
  • Support multiple programs using multiple platforms, providing a range of services including customer service, visit scheduling, customer enrollment, program offering education, tech support, online support, and status updates.
  • Handle inbound or outbound voice calls and/or chat/email interactions with customers.
  • Expertly navigate a script, using verbatim, talking points, or simple usage guides as required.
  • Ensure each call meets the specific needs of the individual utility customer.
  • Monitor personal performance data and progress accessible in real time.
  • Support and troubleshoot technical inquiries and customer questions.
  • Maintain a committed schedule with set lunches and breaks and perform within performance metrics.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED (required).
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish (required).
  • Ability to type 35+ WPM.
  • No attendance or punctuality concerns.
  • Ability to thrive in an intensive environment, balancing customer support while navigating multiple platforms simultaneously.
  • Minimum of 6 months of previous experience within a customer‑facing environment required;
    Call Center experience in an inbound/outbound sales environment preferred.
  • Sales‑oriented with a focus on customer service satisfaction and a “How can I help you?” attitude.
Remote Work Requirements
  • Workstation: dedicated home office space free of personal disruptions.
  • Internet: minimum 10 Mbps upload / 20 Mbps download, 99% latency. Ability to hardwire internet and plug directly into router.
  • Two power connections available.
  • Must be on the phone throughout the entirety of the shift – no flexibility to answer the door or be on‑call for others during scheduled work hours.
Compensation

$18.75 per hour plus $65 per month internet stipend.

  • Salary determination is based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data, applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, and certain certifications.
