Hours: 11:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. Monday–Thursday; 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. Friday (Hours may vary based on operational need). This position requires an average of 15–20 hours of overtime each week during the academic year. Must be able to work evenings, nights, and weekends.

The Parking Lot Attendant plays a critical front‑line role in ensuring a positive and welcoming experience for all visitors to the campus. This individual serves as a key point of contact for guests, providing exceptional customer service, accurate information, and support related to campus parking. The role requires professionalism, reliability, and the ability to remain calm and courteous under pressure.
Education and Experience- High school degree required.
- Must hold a current and clear United States driver’s license.
- This position requires an average of 15–20 hours of overtime each week during the academic year.

- Ability to accurately and efficiently perform math functions (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).

- With an emphasis on outstanding customer service, greet and communicate with visitors to the University campus, including parents, invited guests, vendors, customers, and Board of Trustees members.
- Serve as a liaison between guests and various departments providing directional and other information, always exhibiting courtesy, professionalism, and respect, even when handling difficult circumstances.
- Ensure nametag is always prominently displayed on outside of booth when on duty.
- Regulate the space availability in parking areas; issue tickets to non‑permit holders parked in permitted locations and issue other parking citations as appropriate.
- Monitor 2‑way radio and phones for emergency or change in daily routing.
- Respond promptly to radio calls in a courteous, professional manner.
- Work with emergency crews to allow access to affected areas to allow them to safely and effectively perform job responsibilities.
- Timely communicate critical updates as required.
- In an efficient manner, and at times in stressful circumstances, carefully and accurately calculate parking charges for customers, receive payment and issue change as appropriate, maintain accurate record of financial transactions, safeguard collected payments for submission in accordance with department protocols.
