Personal Banking Representative

A Brief Overview

A Personal Banking Representative assists customers by answering inquiries and requests, processing transactions, opening new accounts, and informing on products and services.

The Representative handles cross‑selling of First Bank products, balances a cash drawer, and resolves customer problems through quality customer service and product knowledge.

• Assist customers with a wide range of inquiries and requests.
• Process deposits, withdrawals, and cash instruments for consumer and commercial customers while maintaining a balanced cash drawer.
• Open new accounts and provide product/service information.
• Accept wire order agreements, stop‑payment requests, and dispute forms and forward them to appropriate departments for processing.
• Process transactions accurately, adhering to all compliance requirements.
• Review daily reports and perform maintenance on accounts.
• Identify and develop opportunities for cross‑selling First Bank products and services.
• Sell bank products and meet company sales goals.
• Demonstrate knowledge of and understand new account systems, documentation requirements, and disclosures.
• Perform other duties and projects as assigned by the market or region.
• Understand and comply with the Safety in the Workplace policy.
• Work 35‑40 hours per week on an as‑needed schedule.

• Entry‑level position; little or no prior relevant work experience required.

• Cash handling and customer‑service experience.

• Excellent customer‑service skills and ability to work well with others.
• Basic mathematics and problem‑solving skills.
• Comfortable in a sales environment.
• Detail‑oriented with ability to multitask and change directions quickly.

• Mostly stationary throughout the business day.
• Frequent computer and other office machinery operation.
• Occasional movement within the office to access files and equipment.
• Occasional reaching for and handling paperwork and drawers.
• Constant communication with customers, coworkers, and management in‑person and on the phone.
• Required to exchange accurate information.
• In‑office presence required; remote work not offered except as required by law.

$20.00 per hour
