Call Center Representative: Collector

Job Description

The Collector will work a hybrid schedule (remote/onsite) after a period of training and performance evaluations. Training occurs at the RBFCU Administrative Service Center located at 1 IKEA-RBFCU Pkwy, Live Oak, Texas 78233. Employees working from home must have a reliable home internet connection, be able to hard‑wire a connection to a modem, and maintain a safe, distraction‑free workspace.

Bilingual Spanish and English candidates may earn an additional $2.00 per hour differential upon completing the RBFCU Bilingual Spanish/English certification.

• Independently collect on past‑due loans by contacting members via phone and email.
• Negotiate suitable payment plans and manage a high volume of inbound and outbound calls.
• Identify and recommend loans for charge‑off and manage account restrictions.
• Review delinquency status for possible loan assistance.
• Initiate repossession proceedings when applicable and generate written communication with high proficiency and accuracy.
• Provide enthusiastic, professional, and courteous service to members and others.
• Maintain current working knowledge of RBFCU policies, procedures, and regulatory laws.
• Strive to meet or exceed department standards and maintain good attendance, promptness, accuracy, and time management.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma or G.E.D.
• Less than one year of experience in collections, call‑center, financial services, or customer service.
• Ability to meet or exceed collector performance metric goals.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent time management and ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities.
• Commitment to excellent customer/member service.

• Collections or financial service experience.
• Knowledge of various loan products (Auto, Mortgage, Unsecured).
