Job Description Summary
Verdegard is seeking individuals to assist in the development and maintenance of plan documents, schedules of benefits, summaries of benefits & coverage, health plan , departmental policies, procedures, process workflows, and standard operating procedures. The role includes performing quality checks and processing daily orders.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Document, maintain, and distribute departmental policies, procedures, and standard operating procedures to ensure employee awareness of processes.
- Interview operational and management personnel to verify accuracy of documented procedures and workflows.
- Create, maintain, and distribute plan documents, schedules of benefits, summaries of benefits & coverage, amendments, and for health plans.
- Recommend workflow improvements to enhance efficiency and ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
- Publish policies and procedures, maintain electronic distribution, and update documentation as needed.
- Perform quality checks and process daily orders.
- Act as an internal and external client‑facing professional with strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
- Manage difficult or emotional client situations, respond promptly to client needs, solicit feedback, and meet client commitments.
- Education:
BS/BA and at least 1 year of related experience or equivalent combination. - Computer
Skills:
Intermediate knowledge of MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel). - Organizational:
Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and capable of juggling multiple projects. - Teamwork:
Works well in a team environment. - Reasoning:
Ability to apply common sense, define problems, collect data, and draw valid conclusions. - Mathematics:
Perform basic arithmetic and simple calculations using U.S. money and measurement units. - Language:
Effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group settings to customers and colleagues. - Reading:
Interpret documents such as safety rules and procedure manuals. - Competencies:
Composure, decision quality, organizational agility, problem solving, customer focus, drive for results, peer relations, time management, dealing with ambiguity, learning on the fly, political savvy.
Regularly required to sit, talk, and use hands; stand, walk, and occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds. Requires clear near visual acuity (approximately 20 inches) and adequate color vision and depth perception.
Work EnvironmentModerate noise level in a business office with computers and printers. May encounter mechanical parts, high or precarious places, fumes, airborne particles, chemicals, or weather conditions. Exposure to vibration, electrical shock, or moving parts may occur.
Work LocationOn‑site at the Tempe, Arizona location or other company location, with remote work possible with managerial approval based on business requirements.
Working HoursFull‑time, non‑exempt position requiring the ability to work overtime, nights, weekends, or holidays as needed. Typical hours:
Monday‑Friday, 8:00am‑5:00pm.
No travel required, although local conference and meeting attendance may be necessary.
