Job Overview

The flagship pilot on Southwest Airlines connects people to what matters in life through a pleasant, dependable, and low‑cost air travel experience. The Customer Support & Services (CS&S) team leader oversees the daily operations of the CS&S crew, including staffing, scheduling, and administrative duties, and provides coaching to operations buddies and customer service representatives.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the daily operations of the CS&S team, managing staffing, scheduling, and administrative responsibilities.
  • Provide direct assistance and coaching to operations buddies and customer service representatives.
  • Foster a culture of trust, teamwork, and continuous improvement within the team.
  • Collaborate with Operations Leaders and Central Staffing teams to address operational questions, troubleshoot, and implement process or tool improvements.
  • Lead meetings and deliver presentations to cross‑functional groups using appropriate tools.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive personal and proprietary information.
  • Perform additional duties as directed by leadership.
Qualifications
  • Excellent people‑management skills, strong communication, and adaptability.
  • Experience in team or group management (beneficial but not required).
  • Proficiency with multiple office software packages, especially Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Strong organizational and analytical abilities, capable of handling multiple tasks under time constraints.
  • Excellent written, oral, and presentation skills.
  • U.S. citizenship or lawful authorization to work in the U.S.; no current or future sponsorship.
  • Minimum age 18 and flexible schedule availability for nights, weekends, and holidays.
Education

High school diploma or GED required; higher education preferred.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to perform job responsibilities from a limited workstation or desk environment for extended periods.
  • Capacity to use a laptop and related productivity gear accurately and efficiently.
  • Compliance with company attendance and flexibility expectations.
