Job OverviewThe flagship pilot on Southwest Airlines connects people to what matters in life through a pleasant, dependable, and low‑cost air travel experience. The Customer Support & Services (CS&S) team leader oversees the daily operations of the CS&S crew, including staffing, scheduling, and administrative duties, and provides coaching to operations buddies and customer service representatives.
Responsibilities- Lead the daily operations of the CS&S team, managing staffing, scheduling, and administrative responsibilities.
- Provide direct assistance and coaching to operations buddies and customer service representatives.
- Foster a culture of trust, teamwork, and continuous improvement within the team.
- Collaborate with Operations Leaders and Central Staffing teams to address operational questions, troubleshoot, and implement process or tool improvements.
- Lead meetings and deliver presentations to cross‑functional groups using appropriate tools.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive personal and proprietary information.
- Perform additional duties as directed by leadership.
- Excellent people‑management skills, strong communication, and adaptability.
- Experience in team or group management (beneficial but not required).
- Proficiency with multiple office software packages, especially Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong organizational and analytical abilities, capable of handling multiple tasks under time constraints.
- Excellent written, oral, and presentation skills.
- U.S. citizenship or lawful authorization to work in the U.S.; no current or future sponsorship.
- Minimum age 18 and flexible schedule availability for nights, weekends, and holidays.
High school diploma or GED required; higher education preferred.
Physical Requirements- Ability to perform job responsibilities from a limited workstation or desk environment for extended periods.
- Capacity to use a laptop and related productivity gear accurately and efficiently.
- Compliance with company attendance and flexibility expectations.
