We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Dispatching Specialist to join our team. The Dispatching Specialist is responsible for monitoring and supporting daily dispatch operations throughout the assigned area. Key tasks will focus on route optimization, communication with external customers, portal administration, and other administrative tasks as assigned. In addition, this dispatch specialist role will assist with coaching and development of the dispatch team and systems as directed by the Dispatch Manager.
This role requires strong interpersonal and communication skills, in order to problem solve and deliver high levels of customer satisfaction and service efficiency.
- Assist in overseeing daily dispatch operations for all markets
- Monitor customer service level agreements (SLA’s), oversee customer portals and drive customer satisfaction
- Be proficient in all dispatch systems and demonstrate operational best practices
- Assist with market specific goal development and reporting
- Review work orders and assist in route optimization ensuring dispatchers are factoring in geographic location, customer priorities and emergencies, parts and KPI’s
- Dispatch during high call volume or as needed or assigned
- Serve as liaison between operational partners, customers and internal billing
- Assist in training of dispatch team when required, including systems and processes
- Other job‑related and administrative duties as assigned
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Associate or bachelor’s degree is a plus
- Proven experience as a dispatching coordinator
- Strong knowledge of dispatching operations, route optimization, and logistics
- Ability to work with/as a team and make effective and efficient decisions
- Proficiency in dispatching software and systems
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Demonstrates the ability to remain composed and effective in high-pressure environment
- Adaptability to change within the needs of the business
- Scheduled rotating weekend and/or holiday coverage
