The organization is a boutique importing company that has served customers for over 15 years. The company imports specialized consumable products for customers in the science, technology, electronics, pharmaceutical, and biotech sectors. With a small, collaborative team, the organization manages the import process from overseas suppliers through final delivery to customers across the U.S.

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Customer Service Representative to support order processing, customer communication, and daily operational coordination. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a fast-paced environment, learns new processes quickly, and is comfortable working across customers, vendors, and warehouse operations

.

This is a part-time remote contract opportunity with the potential for extension and possible longer-term opportunities based on business needs and performance.

Key Responsibilities

+ Process and enter customer orders received via email.

+ Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries related to orders, shipments, and backorders.

+ Coordinate with warehouse staff to support timely and accurate order fulfillment.

+ Monitor open orders, backorders, and shipment updates. .

+ Assist with logistics coordination and trucking arrangements as needed.

+ Maintain accurate order records, tracking logs, and reporting.

+ Communicate professionally with customers, vendors, and internal team members.

+ Support day-to-day customer service and order operations in a collaborative small-team environment.

Required Qualifications

+ Previous experience in customer service, customer support, order entry, or order processing.

+ Strong written and verbal communication skills.

+ Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

+ Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly.

+ Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.

+ Experience using Google Sheets.

+ Ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Preferred Qualifications

+ Experience in logistics, shipping, supply chain, import/export, or distribution.

+ Experience supporting warehouse-related order fulfillment processes.

+ They use Quick Books. Relevant Experience is a plus but not required
