Ensures quality customer service by interpreting phone calls for personal and commercial lines insureds and claimants. Translates and transcribes documents and recordings accurately.

As the translator for Sentry Insurance, you will translate verbally phone conversations and rewrite documents in both English and Spanish. This role follows a hybrid work model and is eligible to work out of our Stevens Point, WI, El Paso, TX, Freeport, IL or Goldsboro, NC office locations. Our flexible schedule allows Monday and Friday optional work‑from‑home days, while Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday are in‑office days.

• Participate on phone calls between Sentry and claimants
• Interpret various dialect meanings while translating verbally or in written form
• Provide translation services to all Sentry offices
• Translate a high volume of calls daily
• Provide a high quality of customer service for internal and external customers

• Associate Degree or equivalent work experience
• 0-2 years of related work experience
• Excellent ability to speak, read and write fluently in English and Spanish
• Familiar with various dialect meanings in both English and Spanish
• Previous experience in the insurance field is desirable
• Ability to meet tight deadlines, maintain confidentiality and provide work direction

New hires will receive a $1,000 sign‑on bonus over the course of one year.

Positions filled in Freeport, Illinois will pay $17.01 - $25.58 per hour.
