Velocitii is hiring remote telephone interviewers for a contract assignment running from 9/21/2026-1/31/2027. In this role, you'll conduct telephone interviews with insurance applicants, gather detailed information, and play an important part in the underwriting process.

This is a temporary contract position, with the potential to be considered for a regular full-time position at the completion of the contract based on business needs and performance.

Compensation & Contraction Completion Bonus

• Pay is dependent on state:
• AZ: $17.50/hour
• FL: $16.50/hour
• NY: $17.50/hour
• SC/TX: $16.00/hour
• Paid training provided
• Contract runs 9/21/2026-1/31/2027
• Completion bonus available at the end of the contract based on certain qualifications

A Day in the Life

As a Telephone Interviewer, you'll play an important role in the insurance application process by conducting telephone interviews with applicants and gathering accurate information to support underwriting decisions.

You'll:

• Answer inbound calls and conduct telephone interviews with medical insurance applicants
• Make outbound calls to applicants when additional information is needed
• Apply critical-thinking and analytical skills to gather complete and accurate information
• Communicate professionally through phone conversations and written correspondence
• Navigate multiple computer applications while efficiently documenting interview details
• Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism
• Meet productivity and quality expectations in a fast-paced environment
• Assist with pre-screen calls after demonstrating proficiency in telephone interviews
• Collaborate with teammates and leadership to support departmental success
• End your day knowing you've helped ensure accurate and efficient processing of insurance applications

What We're Looking For

Required:

• 6+ months in a call-center experience
• 1+ year of customer service experience
• Strong verbal, written, and active listening skills
• Organizational and time management skills
• Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to navigate multiple computer systems
• Experience in a virtual desktop environment
• Distraction-free remote workspace
• High school diploma or GED

Preferred:

• Experience conducting interviews or gathering information over the phone
• Insurance, underwriting support, healthcare, medical, or financial services experience
• Experience working in a productivity-driven environment
• Prior remote work experience
