This is a full-time position based on a 37.5 hour work week. The starting annual salary is notes below and is based on level of previous experience and/or applicable licenses within the property and casualty industry. In addition, hired applicants will be eligible for the company’s annual variable incentive paid based on company performance. Additional commission opportunities may apply to customer facing sales and service representatives.

Job Overview:

This position involves telephone contact to assist and service policy holders with their insurance needs. Ideal candidates will possess prior experience in service and sales, demonstrate a professional telephone manner, and exhibit strong teamwork skills.

Responsibilities:

Conduct professional telephone conversations to service customer accounts in a high call volume environment

Problem-solve and use time effectively to multitask and prioritize work Assist customers with various billing and policy change transactions over the phone

Gain customer trust and respect by establishing and maintaining effective relationships

Demonstrate a high standard of customer service

Collaborate with others in a team setting

Work Schedule and Salary:

The 40-hour compressed schedule will be one of the following options:

Sunday
- Thursday (Monday-Thursday 12pm-8pm, Sunday 7am-3pm)
Tuesday
- Saturday (Tuesday-Friday 12pm-8pm, Saturday 8am-4pm)
A starting annual salary of $48,298 ($23.22/hr). Additional compensation would be dependent on level of experience and applicable licenses within the property and casualty industry with a range of up to $70,040 annually ($33.67hr).For employees working a flex shift, there is a 15% shift differential, providing an equivalent annual rate of pay of $52,876 and potentially up to $80,546. Shift differential compensation is considered variable compensation and applies only when working eligible schedules.

This is subject to change, based on future schedule changes. Amica reserves the right to modify your schedule based on business needs which could impact the shift differential.
* Eligibility for the shift differential is determined by compliance with established scheduling criteria.

Additional compensation is also available through our sales bonus plan!

Work from home may be available up to two days a week once trained to work independently.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent education required

Previous customer service and sales experience

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Computer keyboard and processing skills

Previous insurance background is a plus, but not required

After hire, employees will be required to obtain a state insurance license and meet continuing education requirements to maintain their license (comprehensive training will be provided)
