Senior Product Designer, Order Experience

The Ordering Experience team is redefining how customers discover and order on Door Dash. Moving beyond the store page, we’re designing horizontal, flexible ordering pathways that let customers act on inspiration wherever it sparks — making every interaction effortless and delightful. As platform designers, we shape the shared frameworks and design systems that power ordering across the Door Dash app — enabling teams to deliver consistent, high-quality experiences s role is based in San Francisco, Seattle, or New York City, and follows a hybrid work model with in-office collaboration and flexible remote work.

The role is part of our Core Consumer Experience team, which shapes the end-to-end ordering journey on Door Dash.

This position is designed to help shape the future of ordering at Door Dash by delivering intuitive, system-driven experiences that scale across the app and by contributing to the platform foundation that supports multiple customer journeys across the consumer design team.

• Own complex product areas end-to-end — from shaping vision and strategy to delivering polished, high-quality experiences across multiple ordering surfaces.
• Drive horizontal ordering innovation, designing new, flexible pathways that make ordering possible from anywhere inspiration strikes.
• Apply strong product and system thinking to define how ordering experiences connect and scale across the Door Dash ecosystem.
• Design for both the platform and the user, balancing usability, scalability, and business impact through thoughtful frameworks and reusable patterns.
• Elevate craft and cohesion across the ordering experience through refined interaction design, visual excellence, and attention to detail.
• Collaborate deeply with product managers, engineers, researchers, and other designers to turn complex problems into elegant, system-driven solutions.
• Influence team strategy and culture, helping define what best-in-class design thinking and execution look like within Door Dash’s Core Consumer Experience team.
• Impact millions of customers every day by shaping the platform that powers how people discover, decide, and order on Door Dash.

• You’re a senior-level designer (5+ years of experience) with a strong portfolio across consumer mobile and web experiences.
• You thrive in complex problem spaces, bringing clarity through structured design thinking and strong execution.
• You have deep product intuition and system design skills, and can translate complexity into intuitive, scalable experiences.
• You’re passionate about UI innovation and visual craft, sweating the details that make interactions feel effortless and human.
• You communicate design decisions with clarity and influence, tailoring messages for different audiences and stakeholders.
• You’re proactive, collaborative, and excited to drive impact in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.

The successful candidate's starting pay will fall within the pay range listed below and is determined based on job-related factors including, but not limited to, skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. Base salary is localized according to an employee’s work location. Ranges are market-dependent and may be modified in the future. In addition to base salary, the compensation for this role includes opportunities for equity grants.
