BLKDG is seeking an Sr. Interactive Designer who displays exceptional skill in the fields of UI/UX and digital marketing creative. This role is unique: we are looking for a designer who can move seamlessly between high-level web design and high-performance digital marketing campaigns. You will be responsible for crafting intuitive web experiences while also developing the ad creatives and landing pages that drive traffic to them.

This position requires a passion for your craft and a desire to offer insight on improving BLKDG’s digital capabilities. Candidates must have the ability to produce integrated creative efforts across a variety of digital applications, from complex technical systems to paid social campaigns. BLKDG offers the opportunity to work on exciting projects with national brands right out of the gate.

Responsibilities:

  • UI/UX & Web: Conceptualize and iterate designs and prototypes for mobile applications and complex web systems in partnership with researchers and developers.
  • Creative Direction: Develop high-impact ad creatives for paid social (Meta, Google, Linked In, etc) and display networks that align with client KPIs.
  • Conversion Optimization: Design high-converting landing pages and lead‑gen forms, ensuring a seamless transition from ad click to final user action.
  • Technical

    Collaboration:

    Work with developers to create innovative solutions that are achievable within specific budget, timeline, and technology constraints.
  • Creative Testing: Collaborate with the marketing team to execute A/B creative tests, using performance data to refine visuals and layouts.
  • Brand Consistency: Ensure brand voice and visual identity remain consistent across various touchpoints, from programmatic banners to full site builds.
  • Design Iteration: Participate in design reviews and value the practice of experimenting, evaluating, and learning.
  • Task Management: Simultaneously handle a range of assignments with overlapping timelines without sacrificing quality.
  • Time Management: Simultaneously accomplishing a range of assignments with overlapping timeless, never sacrificing quality
  • Team Growth: Contribute to the internal design culture and offer feedback to peers to ensure the best possible outcomes for the agency.

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience in a similar role (Agency experience preferred).
  • Core Design:
    Solid understanding of UI design patterns, information architecture, and UX best practices.
  • Marketing Acumen:
    Familiarity with digital marketing funnels and an understanding of how design influences user behavior (Direct‑Response design).
  • Visual Craft:
    Strong attention to detail in layout, grid systems, typography, and color for digital experiences.
  • Data Literacy:
    Ability to interpret creative performance metrics (like CTR) and translate them into design improvements.
  • Platform Knowledge:
    Familiarity with technical requirements for modern ad platforms (safe zones, aspect ratios, file weights).
  • Collaboration:

    A flexible approach and willingness to adapt your ideas to the needs of clients and stakeholders.
  • Software

    Skills:

    Highly skilled in Webflow, Figma, Adobe CC, and/or other associated design and prototyping tools.
  • Bonus:
    Motion graphics design/production, animation, or video skills.
