PETERSEN STUDIO is seeking a Landscape Designer or Landscape Architect with a minimum of 3 years of professional experience to join our team. The candidate should have strong design skills, a well-developed graphic eye, and a desire to become a leader in the office and the profession. Experience or a strong interest in Construction Documentation and Construction Observation is preferred.
PETERSEN STUDIO is selective in pursuing commissions that we believe have the capacity to positively impact our shared urban environment while advancing the profession. Our current projects range from streetscapes and neighborhood parks to campus landscapes along the San Francisco Bay. We are a small team, and all members work closely with each other at all phases of design and construction.
Our office is located in the Financial District in downtown San Francisco. While this is initially an in-office position, candidate will have the opportunity to work from home for 1 day a week after their first positive performance review at 3 months.
- Strong design and production skills with honesty about capability
- Facility and flexibility with 3D Modeling, with the ability to make changes in real time
- Flexibility to multi-task in a dynamic, small, yet growth-oriented studio environment
- Good organizational skills
- Excellent communication and writing skills, from project narratives to technical coordination
- MLA preferred
Technical Requirements
- Experience working in AutoCAD drawing sets
- Proficiency in AutoCAD
- Rhino
- Adobe Creative Suite
