About the Team

Our Real Estate team takes on the task of finding and managing over 1,600 stores, DCs, and offices. Their scope is pretty big, as we are a multi-national retailer with over 1,600 leased stores, offices, and distribution centers in the US, Canada, Puerto Rico, and Hong Kong. The team also supports new store growth through market analysis and research with the industry’s best data resources and analytical tools.

In addition to supporting the stores, we work directly with the Real Estate Legal, Facilities, New Store Construction, and Finance teams.

This position is considered to be Fully Onsite, work is to be done onsite at our Pet Smart Home Office.

About the Job SUMMARY

The Business Services Print Coordinator is responsible for helping customers with print center production. The position is also responsible for providing high levels of customer service and satisfaction, as well as offering solutions and suggestions on how orders may be improved. They will be responsible for managing the print tool production queue and submitted custom print requests. They will provide any pre-media edits and adjustments to ensure files are ready for print.

This position is responsible for completing print jobs from start to finish.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Interpret written instructions on Print Request forms, email correspondence, or online order requests for completion of print jobs.
  • Processing files for print which includes color, size, layout, and design edits
  • Prioritizes print queue and work according to business need
  • Acts as a print consultant for internal associates and departments to assist with file set up, print production design and design for manufacturing (DFM).
  • Operate all Print Services equipment to include print production machines, bindery equipment, laminator, shrink wrapper, etc.
  • Responsible for 3D Print Services
  • Operate large format printers including finishing which includes cutting, mounting, grommeting, etc.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by meeting or exceeding established deadlines.
  • Maintain proper supply of print materials in coordination with Print Center Manager
  • Ensure the confidentiality of all material processed.
  • Serves as back-up to Print Center Manager
  • Other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • No direct reports. Provides general direction to onsite Xerox contractors for print production.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 1 to 3 years’ experience in a print production or design required
  • Experience with Adobe InDesign and Illustrator required
  • Experience with Adobe Photoshop and RIP Software preferred
  • Experience with eCommerce and web-to-print management systems preferred
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience
SKILLS and EXPERIENCE
  • Demonstrated excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Able to demonstrate multitasking skills, i.e. able to handle multiple projects at one time
  • Able to demonstrate time management skills and organizational skills
  • Experience with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc) required
  • Able to demonstrate use of Adobe InDesign and Illustrator
  • Able to work well in a team environment and independently
