Our client is seeking a highly experienced and driven Senior Interior Designer to join their dynamic New York studio. You will become an integral part of a collaborative, design-led team of 25, contributing to high-end international projects while leading and mentoring intermediate and junior designers.
This role focuses on leading design for a landmark private residential project in London. You will oversee the development of custom furniture, lighting, and interior details, working extensively with antiques and bespoke pieces. Responsibilities include sourcing high-quality materials, fabrics, and finishes for FF&E, preparing comprehensive schedules, maintaining CAD and design files, and developing custom drawings for fabrication. You will also contribute to presentation development, preparing client-facing materials, and ensuring all design documentation is accurate and well-coordinated.
Key Responsibilities- Lead design development and documentation for high-end residential projects.
- Manage project schedules, budgets, and vendor coordination to ensure timely, high-quality delivery.
- Source and specify materials, finishes, furnishings, and FF&E, including antiques and custom pieces.
- Develop detailed drawings for fabrication, maintain CAD files, and prepare furniture, lighting, and fabric schedules.
- Prepare client presentations, proposals, and meeting materials with precision and clarity.
- Provide on-site supervision and construction administration to ensure design intent and quality control.
- Mentor and guide intermediate and junior designers, overseeing daily tasks and design execution.
- Collaborate with consultants, contractors, and international fabricators to ensure seamless project delivery.
The ideal candidate has a strong creative vision, exceptional spatial planning skills, and a refined sensibility for both contemporary and traditional design. You will thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, confidently presenting ideas to clients and guiding the team through every stage of the project. Technical proficiency in AutoCAD, Sketch Up, Adobe Creative Suite, and Enscape is required, along with experience leading design documentation and project coordination processes.
