About the job

As a Venue Planning Coordinator you will support drone show planning by evaluating potential venues, conducting preliminary technical assessments, and developing initial site and flight maps. You will serve as a critical link between Sales and Operations, leveraging technical analysis and structured data management to ensure production teams receive accurate, complete, and actionable information to support successful show execution.

As a Venue Planning Coordinator, you will be responsible for:

  • Conduct comprehensive technical feasibility assessments for prospective drone show venues
  • Evaluate airspace classifications, regulatory requirements, and flight restrictions to ensure compliance
  • Analyze local and historical weather conditions to assess operational risk and viability
  • Develop preliminary flight paths and site maps from both aviation and event perspectives
  • Identify, assess, and document direct and indirect obstacles within and around proposed venues
  • Maintain and manage a structured, up-to-date database of evaluated and previously approved venues

You’ll need to have:

  • Experience supporting or working within live event productions
  • Demonstrated ability to structure, organize, and maintain accurate, scalable datasets
  • Strong spatial reasoning skills with the ability to perform detailed technical and site feasibility assessments
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams

It’s a plus if you have:

  • Knowledge of drone regulations, airspace management, and aviation compliance
  • Experience creating technical drawings, CAD files, and/or detailed site maps
