Construction Administrator Minneapolis, MN | Contract or Direct Hire | $100k – $125k
Our client, a well-established architecture firm in Minneapolis, is seeking an Architectural Construction Administrator for commercial and hospitality projects. This role supports a Principal and will oversee projects of all sizes. The position emphasizes technical leadership during construction, ensuring contract compliance, coordination, and design integrity from construction kickoff through closeout. This opportunity is ideal for a seasoned architectural professional who thrives in the field and understands detailing at a technical level.
ConstructionAdministrator Responsibilities
- Lead construction administration efforts for 3-4 concurrent projects, including one major assignment under a Principal.
- Review and respond to RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, change orders, and contractor pay applications for contract compliance.
- Conduct on-site observations (20–25% travel), prepare field reports, and coordinate with contractors and consultants.
- Collaborate with architectural and interior design project teams to resolve detailing challenges
- Utilize Bluebeam for document review and coordination; apply working knowledge of Revit to address minor detailing updates when needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Construction Management.
- 15+ years of professional experience with significant Construction Administration experience within an architectural practice.
- Strong knowledge of commercial construction documentation, codes, and contract processes.
- Proficiency in Bluebeam Revu;
Revit experience preferred. - Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining strong communication with clients, consultants, and internal teams
