This is a part-time hybrid role for a Senior Interior Designer based in Brooklyn, NY, with some work-from-home flexibility. The role involves leading design projects, including concept development, space planning, and overseeing execution to completion. Day-to-day responsibilities include creating tailored designs that align with client needs, sourcing and specifying materials and FF&E, collaborating with contractors and artisans, and preparing detailed construction drawings and documentation.
The Senior Interior Designer will also ensure project timelines and budgets are met while delivering exceptional design solutions.
- Expertise in Space Planning and Interior Design, with an ability to create innovative, functional, and aesthetically pleasing spaces
- Comprehensive knowledge of Architecture and experience with Construction Drawings, including technical accuracy and compliance
- Proficiency in specifying FF&E (furniture, fixtures, and equipment), ensuring attention to detail and alignment with design concepts
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with clients, artisans, and contractors
- Proficiency in design software, such as Revit AutoCAD, and Sketch Up, and a strong understanding of sustainable design practices
- Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or a related field, with a minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience
