BC Stone Homes is seeking a Residential Architectural Designer to join our growing architecture and design team.
We design and build distinctive custom homes throughout Alabama and Georgia — built on our land or our clients’ land. This role is for someone who understands residential construction, values precision, and takes ownership of turning design intent into complete, build-ready construction documents.
This is a production-focused role inside an active residential builder.
What You Will Do- Partner directly with the Director of Architecture to produce full construction drawing sets for single-family, multi-family, and select light commercial projects
- Develop complete, permit-ready plan sets from initial design through final construction documents
- Execute lot-specific plan modifications and field-driven revisions
- Maintain and improve our plan library, standard details, and drafting standards
- Coordinate with estimating, field operations, and selections to ensure plans are accurate and executable
- 6+ years of residential design and drafting experience
- Strong working knowledge of residential construction methods
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Soft Plan, or comparable BIM/3D modeling software
- Ability to translate design vision into precise, buildable documents
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and deadline-driven
- Strong communicator who collaborates well across departments
- Degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or related field preferred
- Salary range: $60,000 – $75,000
