SummaryGainwell is seeking a Senior Instructional Designer to apply advanced instructional design methods and adult learning principles, ensuring that course design and content consistently meet learning objectives. The Senior Instructional Designer creates comprehensive outlines and scripts that provide program structure, reflecting leadership in curriculum development.
Your role in our missionAs an Instructional Designer, you contribute directly to Gainwell’s mission of helping clients deliver better health and human services outcomes through technology and innovation. In this role, you will:
- Design engaging, learner‑centered curriculum that supports workforce development and aligns with adult learning principles.
- Translate complex technical or operational information into clear, accessible learning experiences for diverse audiences.
- Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to analyze learning needs and define measurable learning objectives.
- Develop high‑quality instructional materials, including facilitator guides, participant guides, eLearning modules, job aids, and assessments.
- Leverage data, learner feedback, and performance outcomes to evaluate and refine training materials.
- Ensure all instructional content meets organizational standards for quality, accessibility, and compliance.
- Coordinate with project teams to align training deliverables, timelines, and resource needs.
- 5-7 years of experience in instructional design.
- Proficiency in advanced instructional design techniques and eLearning tools.
- Experience with SCORM, xAPI, and LMS integrations.
- Experience managing large-scale or complex projects.
- Strong leadership and mentorship skills.
- This is a full‑time permanent regular salaried (W-2) employee position.
- Monday through Friday work schedule (40 hours per week).
- Only candidates living in California will be considered for this position.

- For all hybrid and remote positions employees' Broadband Internet connections, should have a minimum speed of 24
MBS download and 8 MBS upload. Greater speeds will of course provide better performance. - Video cameras must be used during all interviews, as well as during the initial week of orientation if hired.

The pay range for this position is $64,500.00–$92,200.00 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
