In-House Designer

We are seeking a talented In-House Designer to join our team. This is a hybrid sales and design role where you will guide clients through the full journey of a remodel project — from the first showroom conversation, through home visits and design development, to the signed contract and a successful handoff to our project execution team. You will own the client relationship and the design vision, supported by a deep bench of experienced professionals who help bring every project to life.

• Meet with prospective clients in our showroom and at their homes to understand their goals, lifestyle, and budget.
• Design complete remodel projects including kitchens, baths, and whole-home renovations — covering layouts, cabinetry, finishes, fixtures, and materials.
• Sell and close design and remodel projects, presenting proposals, pricing, and selections with confidence.
• Develop accurate scopes of work and selections that set projects up for a smooth build phase.
• Collaborate daily with the Design Assistant, Design Manager, Project Manager, Project Coordinator, and General Manager to deliver an exceptional client experience.
• Maintain a polished, welcoming showroom presence and represent the AIM brand in every client interaction.

• Proven design ability with a strong eye for space planning, materials, and finishes.
• Sales mindset — you enjoy building relationships, presenting ideas, and earning the client's business.
• Experience in kitchen and bath, interior design, remodeling, cabinetry, or a related field is strongly preferred.
• Proficiency with design software (2020, Chief Architect, Sketch Up, or similar) is a plus.
• Excellent communication, organization, and follow-through.
• Professional appearance and presence — you'll be the face of AIM to our clients.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for home visits.

• Monday through Thursday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM in the showroom, with client home visits scheduled as needed.
• Friday: half day — we work a 4.5-day week so you have time to recharge.
• This is an in-person role based out of our showroom; remote work is not available.

• 4.5-day work week — every weekend starts on Friday afternoon.
