Interior Designer

Overview

This challenging, fast-paced position requires a personable candidate with experience designing interiors of educational or civic facilities, focusing on K‑12 educational projects. The role involves collaboration with project designers, production architects, and engineering teams.

• Provide leadership in all project phases from initial development to completion, assisting in the design and documentation of interior spaces.
• Create design concepts and continue development through all design phases.
• Responsible for interior finish materials selections, specification, and production of finish material boards.
• Utilize space planning, knowledge of codes, and understanding of mechanical systems.
• Produce construction documentation, construction administration, and review of submittals.

• 3+ years of professional experience.
• Bachelor of Interior Design or Interior Architecture (CIDA preferred).
• Demonstrated knowledge of Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment (FF&E) process.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to present design concepts to clients.
• Proficient in Revit, Sketch Up, Adobe Photoshop & InDesign, Bluebeam Revu, Office 365.

• NCIDQ interior designer.
• Educational experience strongly preferred.
• Ability to juggle and prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines diplomatically.
• Strong devotion to customer service.
