Architectural Associate

We’re a small studio looking for an architectural associate who’s ready to take on real responsibility. Someone who can run with a project, sweat the details, and talk to clients and contractors like a real person. You’ll work across every phase, from early feasibility through construction documents, on residential projects designed specifically for the people and places they belong to.

Minneapolis, Minnesota (remote work permissible)

• Develop, prepare, and review drawings in Revit and other architectural tools
• Prepare code compliance evaluations and participate in agency reviews covering zoning, building code, and other ordinances
• Contribute to pre-design services like feasibility studies, site selection, and cost analysis
• Review project goals, design standards, and procedures with project managers
• Coordinate design specifications with drawings to keep everything aligned
• Work on a multi-disciplinary team, interacting with clients and contractors throughout the development and contract document phases
• Report on the status of the design process and cost analysis to the right people
• Bring strong technical detailing across a variety of construction materials and building types
• Take on other responsibilities as projects evolve

• 2+ years of architectural experience
• A Bachelor’s or Master’s in Architecture from an accredited program, or comparable hands‑on experience
• The ability to communicate ideas persuasively and visually, in writing and out loud
• Working knowledge of building codes such as IRC, IBC, and ADA
• Proficiency in Revit, Sketch Up, Enscape, and the Adobe Suite
• The self‑direction to work independently with minimal supervision
• A track record of doing good work and seeing it through
• The ability to juggle multiple projects at different stages without dropping the thread
• Project management experience is a plus
