Client Hotels & Resorts, the world s largest hotel franchisor with more than 9,000 properties across 95+ countries, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager Architectural Design to support its Design & Construction team. This role is ideal for an experienced architectural professional with a strong background in hospitality design, commercial architecture, and project management who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
SeniorManager Architectural Design Responsibilities
- Review architectural plans, specifications, and design submissions for franchise renovations, new construction, and conversion hotel projects.
- Conduct Property Improvement Plan (PIP) site visits and prepare detailed PIP documentation aligned with brand standards.
- Manage multiple hospitality development projects simultaneously at various stages of execution.
- Provide conceptual architectural designs and renovation solutions for hotel properties and prototype developments.
- Collaborate with franchisees, consultants, and internal departments to ensure compliance with Design & Construction standards.
- Develop renderings, sketches, diagrams, and presentation materials using AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Photoshop, Sketch Up, and Revit.
- Oversee junior team members, consultants, interns, or temporary staff while improving team workflows and documentation processes.
- Perform construction site visits to verify compliance with approved plans, fixture placement, and prototype standards.
- Support prototype plan updates, specification manuals, and operational design initiatives across multiple hotel brands.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor s Degree in Architecture.
- 8 10 years of experience in commercial architecture.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Adobe Acrobat, Sketch Up, Revit, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong knowledge of hospitality architecture, renovation planning, and construction documentation.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and make independent, time-sensitive decisions.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to travel up to 50%, including overnight travel.
Preferred Qualifications
- Architecture licensure preferred.
- Experience with hospitality, multifamily, or retail development projects.
- Experience producing architectural renderings and visual presentations.
