Ready to take the next step in your architectural career? We're looking for an Architectural Designer II to support the design and delivery of projects across all phases-working alongside experienced professionals in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary environment.

In this role, you'll play a key part in developing design solutions that are creative, technically sound, and aligned with project goals, budgets, and schedules-all while continuing to build your expertise and grow toward greater responsibility.

What You'll Do

* Develop detailed building models and construction documents across all project phases

* Coordinate technical design efforts with internal teams and external consultants

* Assist in preparing and aligning project specifications with construction documents

* Review drawings, reports, submittals, and calculations for accuracy and completeness

* Participate in site visits and project meetings to support construction and resolve field issues

* Collaborate with project teams to ensure timely delivery of milestones and deliverables

* Use tools like Revit, AutoCAD, Sketch Up, and BSD Spec Link for production and visualization

* Support the implementation of design technology best practices across teams

* Work closely with architects, engineers, and consultants to ensure coordinated outcomes

* Apply knowledge of building codes, materials, and sustainability principles to your work

What You Bring

* 3+ years of architectural experience

* Progress toward or completion of AXP and AREs preferred

* Strong understanding of design development and construction documentation

* Knowledge of building systems and how they integrate into project documentation

* Ability to research and apply building codes effectively

* Experience with QA/QC processes in architectural workflows

* Proven ability to collaborate within multidisciplinary teams

* Proficiency in Revit for modeling and documentation

* Proficiency in AutoCAD for drafting

* Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Nice to Have

* Familiarity with sustainability practices and evolving industry trends

* Experience producing construction documents in Revit and AutoCAD

* Exposure to Microsoft Project, SharePoint, and Teams

* Working knowledge of Sketch Up for 3D modeling

* Experience with Adobe Photoshop and InDesign for presentations

* Familiarity with BSD Spec Link for specifications

* Desire to take on increasing responsibility and grow toward project management

Work Environment

You'll be part of a collaborative, studio-style environment focused on mentorship, technical excellence, and professional growth. The team uses industry-standard tools including Revit, AutoCAD, Sketch Up, BSD Spec Link, and Microsoft Office, along with platforms like SharePoint and Teams.

This role offers a hybrid schedule, including half-day Fridays from home and work-from-home every other Monday, providing flexibility while maintaining strong in-person collaboration.

This is a Permanent position based out of Charlotte, NC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $100000.00/yr.
