Job DescriptionWe are seeking a talented and motivated Project Designer with 5 to 10 years of professional experience. This is a pivotal role in our studio. You will be a core contributor to our design language, a mentor to junior staff, and a primary point of contact for clients and consultants. The right candidate will work independently on architectural design projects and often coordinates project design efforts.
Responsibilities- Design Leadership: Lead the conceptual and schematic design phases, creating compelling narratives and visual presentations.
- Project Management: Manage project schedules, budgets, and deliverables for multiple concurrent projects.
- Technical Excellence: Oversee the production of high-quality construction documents and ensure design intent is maintained through detailing.
- Collaboration: Coordinate with structural, MEP, and civil engineers to integrate complex systems seamlessly into the design.
- Mentorship: Guide junior designers in Revit standards, detailing, and professional development.
This position offers the flexibility of both in-person and work from home. The expectation is that the position would begin primarily in-person while learning about the projects and standards of the office.
Qualifications- Proficiency in Architecture and Building Information Modeling (BIM) processes
- Experience with project management tasks, including scheduling, budgeting, and client coordination
- Strong knowledge of and experience in preparing and reviewing Submittals
- Understanding of sustainable design practices and Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) principles
- Excellent organizational, communication, and teamwork skills
- Professional degree in Architecture or related field
- Licensure as an Architect is preferred but not required
- 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in a similar role
