Position
Healthcare Planner (Remote)
OverviewResourcing Edge, a premiere HR/Talent services company, has partnered with The Design Group, a 50+ year award‑winning architecture firm focused on healthcare practice. Design Group values sustainable design and work‑life balance. We are seeking a remote Healthcare Planner who will be a “thought leader” in facility programming, master planning, and schematic design for healthcare projects.
Key Responsibilities- Provide leadership and design direction for all aspects of planning, design, and documentation for healthcare projects.
- Develop facility programs and designs in compliance with client needs and industry best practice, from master plan through design development.
- Conduct existing conditions assessment and engineer coordination.
- Research zoning, building codes, and conduct service line volume assessment to translate into functional and space programs.
- Lead stakeholder interviews, master plan option development including phasing, and support investment and design decision making.
- Prepare written and graphic documentation to communicate master plan concepts.
- Develop schematic plans based on healthcare equipment requirements and coordinate with landscape, exterior building, and interior designers.
- Lead design input meetings with users and stakeholders.
- Assist in developing cost estimates, schedules, and maintaining programming and estimating databases.
- Act as an Account Manager responsible for ongoing customer relations and maintain project communications when no projects are active.
This role requires frequent travel to Ohio. Candidates within a 3‑hour drive of Columbus, OH are highly encouraged to apply.
Qualifications & Experience- Registered Architect highly preferred.
- Five (5) plus years of experience in healthcare programming, planning, and design.
- Demonstrated ability to develop facility programs and designs in compliance with client needs and industry best practice.
- ACHA, LEED AP, and EDAC preferred.
