Project Architect
This role offers an experienced Project Architect the opportunity to lead and support industrial facility projects, including refineries and petrochemical sites, while working from Houston, Texas or remotely. The architect will use Revit and Navisworks to develop comprehensive design and construction document packages, coordinate with project stakeholders, and support bids for industrial projects.
Responsibilities- Lead and support architectural design for industrial facilities, including refineries, petrochemical plants, and other inside-the-fence industrial projects.
- Develop complete construction drawing packages and ensure that all architectural documentation is accurate, coordinated, and compliant with project requirements.
- Prepare and issue Requests for Information (RFIs) for projects in the bidding phase, and track responses to support timely and informed decision-making.
- Use Revit to create, manage, and update detailed architectural models and drawings for industrial facilities.
- Use Navisworks to review models, perform coordination checks, and support clash detection and constructability reviews.
- Collaborate with engineering and construction teams to integrate architectural design with structural, mechanical, and other discipline requirements.
- Contribute to construction administration by reviewing submittals, responding to RFIs, and supporting field-related design clarifications.
- Participate in project planning and management activities, helping to define scope, schedule, and deliverables for architectural work.
- Apply architectural design expertise to both building exteriors and industrial facility layouts to ensure functional, safe, and efficient designs.
- Support projects in power generation and power plant environments when needed, leveraging any relevant experience in these sectors.
- Collaborate effectively with remote and on-site team members, maintaining clear and timely communication throughout the project lifecycle.
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience working as a Project Architect.
- Demonstrated experience delivering industrial facility projects such as refineries, petrochemical plants, and other inside-the-fence industrial sites.
- Proficiency with Revit for architectural design, modeling, and construction documentation.
- Proficiency with Navisworks for model review and coordination.
- Strong experience in architectural design and construction administration for industrial facilities.
- Experience preparing and assembling complete construction documents and drawing packages.
- Experience issuing and managing RFIs for projects in the bidding or construction phases.
- Knowledge of construction drawings and architectural detailing for industrial facilities.
- Experience working on the exterior of buildings in an industrial context.
- Professional qualification as an Architect.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with power generation or power plant projects is a plus.
- Experience using E3D or Smart Plant 3D is a plus.
- Registered Architect status with the ability to transfer registration to Utah and North Dakota is a significant advantage.
- Experience in industrial facilities engineering is beneficial.

Pay and Benefits:
The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $70.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
